Set up IPTV Nordic step by step

Choose a suitable player, add the details supplied after activation and check your connection. This guide covers common TVs, boxes, mobile devices and computers.

1. Test first

Use the free 24-hour trial to check the actual device, connection, navigation and picture quality.

2. Choose the player

Match the app to the operating system. A Smart TV app and an Android box do not always use the same setup method.

3. Add details privately

Copy the supplied server, username, password or playlist exactly. Do not share credentials in public screenshots.

4. Optimise the connection

Use Ethernet for a fixed TV where possible. Otherwise place the router openly and use a clear 5 GHz or 6 GHz signal.

  1. 1Open the TV’s official app store and search for a compatible IPTV player.
  2. 2Install and open it. Note any device ID, MAC address or device key shown by the app.
  3. 3Add the M3U URL or server address, username and password supplied for your service.
  4. 4Reload the list, open the programme guide and test both a standard channel and a higher quality stream.

Use Ethernet where possible, especially for Full HD and 4K.

Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV

  2. 2Choose the login method matching your details: portal, Xtream-compatible login or M3U.
  3. 3Allow the first list import to finish and enable the programme guide if requested.
  4. 4Put favourites first and close background apps on devices with limited memory.

Avoid unknown APK files. An official store reduces the risk of modified software.

Apple TV, iPhone and iPad

  1. 1Get a compatible player from the App Store on the device you will use.
  2. 2Add the profile or playlist associated with your service.
  3. 3Allow local-network access only when a feature requires it, such as casting.
  4. 4Test playback over Wi-Fi and lower the quality on a weak mobile connection.

High picture quality over mobile data can consume a large allowance.

MAG, Formuler, Windows and Mac

  1. 1MAG/Formuler devices normally use portal or app settings in the box system menu.
  2. 2On a computer, install a compatible player from the developer’s official website or app store.
  3. 3Enter the details exactly and check that the server address uses the correct protocol.
  4. 4Restart the player after the first sync and check audio, subtitles and the programme guide.

Never post passwords or complete playlist URLs in public forums or screenshots.

If playback buffers

  • Restart the player and router.
  • Stop downloads and other heavy streams.
  • Test Ethernet or move closer to the router.
  • Lower picture quality one step.
  • Contact support with device, app, time and connection type.
